Lyfe Jennings’ Soulful Performance Headlines the June Edition of ATL Live on the Park

Last night, Season 6 of ATL Live on the Park returned to a sold out crowd at Piedmont Park for a special June edition. This month’s showcase included performances by platinum recording artist Lyfe Jennings, Bravo’s RHOA and eOne recording artist star Demetria McKinney, R&B hitmaker Tyra B. and emerging artist J.Rain. Taiye ‘The Wild Afrikan” Samuel returned to host the event sponsored by Gentleman Jack and MAJIC 107.5. Guests also enjoyed sounds by DJ Mars and a performance by the event house band Quinn and Jukebox.

The night kicked off with a performance by J. Rain. The up-and-coming artist performed classic hits including Tevin Campbell’s “Can We Talk.” The crowd was then transported back to present-day with Maxwell’s “Pretty Wings” before he ended with a taste of his of sound, performing his brand new single, “Spendin.”

Next, Tyra B. opened up the stage with some electric dance moves before showing off her vocal talents. The R&B singer performed renditions of crowd favorites such as “PYT”, “I Like the Way”, “Poison” and “Candy Rain.” She concluded her performance with her new single “Tease.”

Next, Demetria McKinney took the stage. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star dominated the stage with a captivating performance showing off her talents and wide vocal range. McKinney first captured the audience with an a capella style rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I’m Every Woman.” She continued with crowd favorites such as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and concluded with performances of her current singles “Trade Off” and “100.”

Lastly, event headliner Lyfe Jennings took the stage. Jennings captured the hearts of true R&B lovers performing some of his renowned hits such as “Never Never Land” and “Must Be Nice.” Jennings concluded the night performing his most recent single “I Love You,” off of his much-anticipated album ‘Tree of Lyfe,’ which is set to release June 23, 2015.

Season 6 of ATL Live on the Park returns July 14, 2015. The official line-up will be announced later this month.
